Finally, A New Car!

So I finally came to terms with the fact that I needed to get a "family car". I really wanted to get a Tahoe or Yukon, or some type of SUV, but with gas prices going up again I had to be practical. Albert and I traded in the truck and purchased a 2009 Nissan Altima. I like the car, it has a lot of neat features. I am still not used to driving so low to the ground, but it is nice to be able to park my car in a regular space! Also, it has been a while since I have had a trunk to put things in. Skyler can get in and out of this car by herself, which is a big plus. Soon Travis will be riding in it and then it will truly be our new "family car".

Baby Shower

My baby shower was awesome! It was held January 31st and the Spaghetti Factory. Good food, cute cake, family, friends, and such wonderful, thoughtful gifts! I couldn't have asked for a better day. Skyler had the time of her life and Albert was there also. He felt a little weird being the only guy (other than the two babies), but we needed the muscle to carry and load all of the things we received. :) He had a great time though. Now the waiting game begins. I can't wait to finally meet my little guy. I hope he will arrive very, very soon!
37 weeks and counting...

Kindergarten

Skyler started Kindergarten this year! So far she loves it. She has made lots of friends and has even snagged a few boyfriends which Daddy isn't too happy about :). She is doing really well with all of the concepts that she is being taught and she is so excited that she is learning to read. Albert and I couldn't be prouder!

My First Post!

Ok...here it goes! I decided to start at the beginning with a recap of my wedding day. It was one of the absolute BEST days of my life! I was married at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Ca. It was my dream to be married there at the gorgeous chapel, and I was lucky enough to have parents that helped make that dream come true. I walked down the aisle to meet Albert, the man that I am going to spend the rest of my life with. Honestly, most of the entire night, ceremony, pictures, reception, etc, are a blur. I barely remember most of it! I do remember the feelings of joy, happiness, and elation (then disappointment when it was over). At least these pictures remind me of what an amazing night it was!
